Raised in upstate New York with two older sisters who were always listening to music, a guitar-playing brother in several bands, and a mother whose favorite past-time was playing standards on the living room organ for hours every day, Cory was drawn to dance and pop music from an early age. The first singles he ever owned were “Funkytown” by Lipps Inc. and “Ring My Bell” by Anita Ward, and among the first albums he ever purchased were “YMCA” by the Village People and ABBA’s “Greatest Hits” collection. Cleary, the path was being paved.

While attending film school in upstate New York, Cory took a variety of electronic music production and music theory courses, but it wasn't until the mid-90’s that he decided that the songs running through his head were just as good as what he was hearing in clubs and on the radio.

Buying a keyboard controller and a sampler, he quickly discovered that indeed he did have a knack for writing fully realized songs with commercial potential. It wasn’t long before he was in the studio recording original tracks for his first demo.

That first three-song demo caught the interest of several labels, and Cory signed not one, but two non-exclusive contracts as an artist/producer with Roadrunner Records. One, to write and produce radio-friendly dance songs as for the Next Plateau and Deep Blue sub-labels, and the other to create underground club tracks for Road Runner’s Floorwax label.

Just as it seemed that the first single would finally be released, Roadrunner began loosing it's enthusiasm for dance music. Although the label had given Cory advances and commissioned remixes for several initial tracks, the label stopped short of releasing anything.

Disappointed, Cory's focus shifted to helping his family care for his ailing mother in her final days. After that life changing experience, Cory decided to take a break from music production. The time, it seemed, had simply not been right.

After taking a hiatus of several years, Cory once again found himself drawn to the keyboard and again writing original material - lots of it. It was clear that it was time to start again. In 2004, he and vocalist Jennifer Rivers began recording new material as PLEASURE CENTER.

The first single, "Believe In Me", was released in November 2005 and is presently enjoying much success in clubs and radio mixshows around the country.

Now, the time is right.
